Established by Jaime Chavan, Ceremonious Strings is dedicated to providing you with the finest ensemble of musicians for your special day.

We are an established group of musicians who have been practicing and performing alongside each other at many weddings and special events. We are a solid team!

We are fully licensed AND insured!! If your venue needs a certificate of insurance, we can provide one. Many musical groups are NOT insured and many venues require proof of insurance- that cost can fall onto you!

In August 2015, Ceremonious Strings LLC was chosen to perform wedding ceremony & cocktail hour music for the nuptials of comedian Tracy Morgan & Megan Wollover at the Ashford Estate. We were proud to have been selected by Jenny Orsini Events to perform for this magical day! All of the Ceremonious Strings players are active freelance musicians throughout New Jersey. We play together frequently and have experience in a multitude of performance areas! In addition to our school teaching and wedding gigs, we can be found in the Monmouth Symphony Orchestra, with the Jersey Shore Pops and on the podium directing the Garden State Youth Orchestra.

Choosing the right ensemble for your special event is important and the abundance of information and variety of groups to choose from can be overwhelming.

What sets ceremonious strings apart from the rest?

We are an established group of players who have experience playing together! The vast majority of “wedding music” vendors in the state of NJ are composed of sub-contracted players who don’t perform together regularly. These “throw together” ensembles can consist of a random group of musicians performing together for the first time at your wedding! Our musicians, however, have been practicing and performing alongside each other at many weddings and special events. We are a solid team!

Our Arrangements!  Jaime works hard to ensure all of the music that we play is specifically written for strings. Since most pop/modern/jazz tunes aren’t written for strings, Jaime works to arrange and write all of the music to fit your specific instrumental ensemble. Another wedding music group may claim to have the same songs that we do; however, most playoff of “piano parts” which can be unpredictable and often times messy sounding. Everything Ceremonious Strings uses is custom written!

Our Cocktail Hour!  We have a large assortment of fun, crowd-pleasing tunes. From Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You & Wonderful Tonight, to the modern Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran, to the older Run Around Sue & Sweet Caroline; we can captivate the audience’s attention while still remaining a “background” portion of your event!

Ceremonious Strings LLC was honored to work with Jenny Orsini Events in bringing

comedian Tracy Morgan’s wedding vision to life at the Ashford Estate in August 2015!

The ensemble performed as a string trio for the ceremony and string trio plus piano

for the cocktail hour. As quoted in the Winter 2016 issue of the national wedding

magazine“Inside Bride,” Tracy stated:

                 “My impression of the wedding was that this was one

                        for the ages: the dancing, the music, the people,

                                                    the love.”

Audio equipment is available to amplify our ensemble for cocktail hours. Jaime will use her experience in each venue, details on the size of your event, and other factors to determine if it is necessary to enhance the musical experience.
